Karen SwystunCEO
With more than 25 years of experience in executive search and recruitment, Karen is a trusted advisor to industry-leading firms worldwide who regularly invite her to address a broad range of issues related to the strategic acquisition of talent and its impact on organizational initiatives.
Throughout her years of service within the search profession, Karen has successfully concluded search engagements for all levels of technical, managerial, executive, physician, and board positions. Working domestically and internationally, in the private and public sectors, Karen’s history of success is a testament to her skill and expertise.
Serving as Associate Partner, then Senior Vice President in the Executive Search Practice at PwC, Karen built a reputation for excellence that led to a Partner position with Caldwell Partners before co-founding Waterford Global Inc. in 2006.
Karen’s exceptional commitment to community service has seen her serve on non-profit and not-for-profit boards for tripartite-funded civic and healthcare organizations, and on privately-held and publicly-traded corporate boards. She also participated in, and lent her extensive healthcare and business knowledge to, the development of a 3-year Nursing degree program.
In recognition of Karen’s leadership achievements and community support locally, provincially, nationally and internationally, she was awarded with The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2013. Karen has also been selected to participate annually in PwC’s global CEO survey, the results of which are presented at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
